Need for Dialysis Machine:
Nephropathy incidences are increasing due to night occurrence of diabetes and hypertension requiring regular dialysis.
Dialysis is a very costly and long-term process. Patients from lower income family cannot afford kidney related treatment on their own. In India medical insurance is not very common and it is very costly, if it is available. There is no facility for dialysis in the surrounding area of 200km radius including KCJ hospital. Therefore, patients avoid taking treatments due to travel and expenses and that often result in fatalities.
Currently KCJ hospital is serving nearby villages in the districts like Bina, Khurai, Rahatghar, Rehli, Garhakota, Deori and Banda. For Kidney related issues patients have to travel more than 300 kilometers or more to get the treatment either in city of Bhopal or Jabalpur.
The requested dialysis machine will serve an area of well over 200 Km radiuses with mostly poor population of about two million.
Further arrangements:
Infrastructure
Hospital has enough room to support to 2 dialysis machines at this point of time. Rooms are ready.
If need be then hospital has enough empty space to built some more rooms.
Other Doctors like MD medicine, surgeons, heart specialists etc are already employed with the hospital or visit the hospital.
Staff of _______ is in the hospital 24/7 at any given moment of time.
Other then the regular power supply, the hospital has its own arrangement for electric supply during black out time.
Tie up with other medical facilities
We are in touch with other hospitals (particularly, the Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal that is specially designed to treat the Bhopal Gas tragedy victims, and which has a full-fledged Nephrology and Urology Department). They have agreed to train our staff and provide other technical support to establish and run the contemplated dialysis machine.
We are also in contact with Nephrologists at Jabalpur and Indore medical colleges in this regard.
The Hospital has enough space for further expansion. We already have two room for this machine.
Besides doctors enlisted above, a staff of 26 is on duty all the time for technical, nursing and other duties.
Hospital is willing to hire appropriate staff needed for the work.
Other providers can do maintenance care for the proposed machines on an annual or semi-annual basis.
